Asta Gold is an "adopted" Kiwi, having been born in New Zealand’s West Island (Australia) before moving to Waiuku in 2004.
She completed her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts at Griffith University in Brisbane before adding a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from London Metropolitan University.
After working in Australia and England, Asta moved to New Zealand and started work in an inner-city Auckland firm in Civil Litigation and Insurance Law, then in South Auckland, specialising in both Civil and Criminal Litigation, before realising that what she really wanted to do was work close to home among friends and family - helping the local community.
Asta has worked as a self-employed barrister since 2012, and formed Gold Legal Ltd in 2016. She is pleased to be able to offer affordable legal solutions to Franklin locals.
Julie is originally from Taranaki and graduated from Otago University with a Law and Commerce degree. She has recently joined Gold Legal having worked for law firms in Auckland and the Cook Islands in Family and Property Law. Julie has been appointed by the Family court to act as lawyer for the subject person in PPPR proceedings so is experienced in dealing with elder law and medical-legal issues. Julie is passionate about helping her clients navigate the legal adventures in their lives.
Julie is a Trustee of the North Shore Women’s Centre and is now the Chairperson of the North Shore Women’s centre - a position she has now held for over five years.
Outside of work Julie enjoys spending time reading, watching movies and live theatre. Julie’s partner is Samoan and a former professional rugby league player so weekends in winter are often spent watching Warriors games (however the rules of league remain a mystery to her). Julie and her partner are looking forward to life in the Pukekohe/Franklin area so they can spend more quality time with family and friends who live locally.
