Asta Gold – Director – Barrister and Solicitor

Asta Gold is an "adopted" Kiwi, having been born in New Zealand’s West Island (Australia) before moving to Waiuku 13 years ago.
 
She completed her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts at Griffith University in Brisbane before finishing this off with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from London Metropolitan University.
 
After working in Australia and England, Asta moved to New Zealand and started work in an inner-city Auckland firm in Civil Litigation and Insurance Law, then in South Auckland, specialising in both Civil and Criminal Litigation, before realising that what she really wanted to do was work close to home amongst friends and family - helping the local community.
 
Asta formed Gold Legal Ltd in 2016 and is pleased to be able to offer affordable legal solutions to Franklin locals.

Lois Murtagh – Personal Assistant

​Lois has lived in Waiuku for the last 27 years and worked for a local law firm for 23 of those years.  She joined Gold Legal from its conception in 2016 and is a valued member of the property and conveyancing team.
 
Lois is well known and loved by the locals as she was a celebrant for 16 years – marrying many of the couples in and around Waiuku and beyond.
 
She is a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and when she is not hard at work she loves to dote over her grandchildren.

Kristi Hatton – Office Assistant

Kristi is a local Waiuku resident who joined Gold Legal in late 2016.
 
Kristi is part of our litigation team, specialising in preparing applications (such as limited licences, section 94 applications and discharges without convictions).  If you have any queries about a Court matter, Kristi will be happy to help you.
 
Since working with Gold Legal, Kristi has discovered her love of the law (and her natural talent for dealing with clients and drafting documents).  She has started studying law herself – so watch this space!
